Shakespeare in the Park: The Winter’s Tale

“The Winter’s Tale” performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Please join NYC Parks, Hip to Hip, and the Friends of Cunningham Park for a free Shakespeare in
the Park performance of “The Winter’s Tale” and “Kids & the Classics.”
This is a professional, family-friendly production offered to the public for free. The production is fully
produced with sets, lights, wireless microphones for easy audibility, and sumptuous costumes. It will
feature a professional company of actors courtesy of Actor’s Equity Association. This is the eleventh
year that Hip to Hip has provided this programming in Cunningham Park.
“Kids & the Classics” is a 20-minute, pre-show, interactive workshop for children ages 4-12. It gives
children a chance to interact with the text by previewing the story, and by creating links between the
text and their own lives through theatre games and close reading of text.
