- Secured a grant from Partnership for Parks to "get the word out" about Cunningham Park

- Secured a grant for the rehabilitation of the walking trails in the Southeast quadrant from the J.M. Kaplan Fund
- Successful application for both National and State Historic Site status for the Long Island Motor Parkway (Vanderbilt Motor Parkway) from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation
- Restoration and painting of 4 bridges on the Long Island Motor Parkway was accomplished through funding from Assemblyman Mark Weprin.
- Sponsorship of a senior center and summer day camp
- Applied for and received technical assistance grant from the United Stated Department of the Interior, Forestry Department, and River and Trails to assist in restoration of the Walking Trails
- Sponsored a “Hike for Health Day” in 2005
- Creation of a Dog Run
- Successfully advocated and lobbied for the rehabilitation of the main lavatories adjacent to the tennis courts and rehabilitation of the after school building and lavatories at the upper parking lot with the assistance of Councilman David Weprin

- Creation and printing of Cunningham Park Brochures was accomplished through a grant from the J.M. Kaplan Fund
